6.
Can I keep a record of ALL my CE courses on this transcript – even those not earned through JCAHPO?
Yes. You must send in all your documentation, pay the fee, and JCAHPO will track your non-JCAHPO-conducted courses.
7.
How will I get my credit letters for JCAHPO courses I take online?
At the completion of each JCAHPO Distance Learning Course, you will be asked to take a quiz, assessing your grasp of the material you covered in the course. Once you have completed the quiz, print out your results and mail or fax them to JCAHPO. Your score will be recorded and a CE Credit letter will be sent to you.
8.
The credit you earn will be valid for your current certification period only. After that time you may retake the course for credit.
9.
What if I do not pass my quiz the first time that I take the course online?
You will have an opportunity to retake the quiz.
10.
Do I have to pay an additional fee for retaking a course/quiz?
Yes. There is a small extra charge for additional attempts to pass the quiz. Just how many times you can retake a quiz and what the fees will be may vary from course to course.
11.
What will happen if I run out of chances to retake a quiz?
You will not receive credit for the course and you will not be able to retake the course in the same three-year certification cycle. Once the cycle has passed, you may repeat the course to try again for credit.
